Robin the Robin started out as a blog about visiting the Athens 2004 Olympic Games with a soft toy called Robin the Robin. But then the Olympics finished. We posted more pics for a while. Then we stopped. THEN LONDON 2012 HAPPENED AND ROBIN RETURNED!

A record-breaking hot day!
Hello. Here's a picture I took a moment ago of Robin on what they're saying will be the hottest day in London on record! Apparently temperatures will get as high as 38C/101F. It certainly feels like it - it's baking out there! We've got a little electronic temperature sensor on the window sill. It's in the shade but apparently it's 36.6C/98F out there at the moment! Hot hot hot hot hot. Robin is currently chilling near our over-worked fan...

That is "normal" for us! Plus we have >89% humidity to add to the mix. Of course, we have centrail air conditioning, so it makes it more tolerable. Summers aren't necessarily fun, but winters are wonderful here.
Where abouts are you Dawn!? I've been in London today - and boy is it hot hot heat! But hey that's cool. I mean hot. Rob from Manchester
It's been wicked hot here the last few days as well - and sooooooo humid! We did get a bit of rain, though we are still about 4" shy of what we should have for this time of year. Everything is brown! I hope Robin had the good sense to run to the shade as quickly as possible! lol!
KJ in the USA
101 is pretty acceptable for texas, but not every day! it was at least that much last week every day and we all almost melted, but this week is much milder!
Hi, I've been missing again, this time cos of new computer and going on to Broadband, but all well now. I think next heatwave we should have picture of Robin in sunglasses (or shades for you in the USA!) Sarah, Derby
