Robin the Robin started out as a blog about visiting the Athens 2004 Olympic Games with a soft toy called Robin the Robin. But then the Olympics finished. We posted more pics for a while. Then we stopped. THEN LONDON 2012 HAPPENED AND ROBIN RETURNED!

Helsinki on May 13
Here's a picture of Robin, taken near my wife's parents' flat in Helsinki at about 9pm on May 13 2006, when the sun was still shining brightly. See below for what it looked like on December 30 2005...

Wow, what a difference! The water is so very blue! Did Robin get to swim?
Holy cow--that's at 9pm?!--it looks like 5 in the afternoon or something. I'm from Seattle and I thought it finally getting dark around 9:30 during the summer boggled the mind! (I'm originally from Southern California--so, in the summer it got dark around 7:30/8--that extra hour of sunlight really threw me off the first time around)
