Go Greece!

Really, really chuffed that Greece have made it to the final of Euro 2004 (they deserved it too, having completely marked the best Czech players out of the game).

Hopefully this means the country will be buzzing for the Games. Or perhaps, as The Independent newspaper put it this morning, 'The prospects of the Olymipic Games sites being ready on time sharply diminished last night as Traianos Dellas launched three days of celebrations across the Pan-Hellenic world'. Ha!

Good luck for the final lads...

Dellas had an exceptional tournament at Euro 2004, partnering Michalis Kapsis in the centre of what became an almost unpenetratable Greek defence, leading to his being voted onto the tournament All-star squad. He scored the goal that put Greece in the final of the tournament, a silver goal in the last minute of the first half of extra time against the Czech Republic. sportsbook, Dellas got his start with Greek side Aris before moving on to Sheffield United in England. He returned to Greece with AEK before securing a transfer to Perugia F.C. of Italy, where his spectacular defensive performances and technical ability earned him a spot with giants AS Roma in 2002. http://www.enterbet.com
